Turning off MFA will stop requiring a verification method for the selected users. We recommend adding another sign-in method in case you lose access to your primary method.

After you've set up MFA, you'll get an app password for email clients that use basic authentication (like Outlook 2010).

Note: You can also use the Microsoft Authenticator app instead of providing a phone number. You'll need to enter the phone number you want the verification code sent to and select Next.

Select the checkbox for the same user.

In the confirmation window, select enable multi-factor auth, and then close.

Select the checkbox next to the user having MFA enabled.

Once you're signed in, go to the multi-factor authentication page.
